Two booking systems live in one day!

TWO BOOKING SYSTEMS LIVE IN ONE DAY!

We are extremely happy to announce that West London Waste Authority’s HWRC booking system and Findhorn Village Conservation Company’s motorhome booking system have both gone live and are now seamlessly taking bookings.

The WLWA system allows residents in the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond to book visits to one of the four recycling and re-use centres quickly and easily.

Using our booking system helps WLWA shape the future of their service provision to best match the needs of residents while at the same time maximising their available resources where most needed.

The Findhorn Conservation Company got in touch regarding developing a booking system to help manage overnight motorhome stays. They had a site that could accommodate 21 vehicles overnight for a maximum of a two-night stay and they were interested in whether or not their local councils newly installed automated number plate recognition (ANPR) booking system, also supplied by Pentagull, could be adapted to meet their needs

The resulting system allows members of the public to quickly and easily look at the availability of pitches and subsequently book and pay for a pitch online. Entry and exit to the site is handled via an automated barrier system which utilises ANPR to only allow valid bookings onto the site leading to a reduction in administrative burden.

At the core of our booking systems is our highly customisable resource engine. In the last year alone since the pandemic first started, we have built and deployed booking systems for HWRC bookings, library bookings, beach chalet bookings, harbour berth bookings, covid test bookings and most recently motorhome bookings. Our resource engine is also utilised for office-based bookings like meeting rooms and hot desking.

If you would like to speak to us about one of the booking systems mentioned above, or you have an idea about a booking system, but don’t know who to speak to then please drop us an email hello@pentagull.co.uk.

Waste Fridge
When waste rules change, Pentagulls flexible HWRC booking systems make the difference.

The current shortage of specialist treatment capacity for fridges and freezers is creating a difficult situation for councils across the UK. With processing capacity severely constrained, some councils have had to suspend collections, limit the number of cooling appliances residents can bring to HWRCs, or stop accepting them altogether. For residents, the message is simple: the rules have changed. For councils, however, changing the rules is only the beginning. They also need an effective way to communicate those changes to residents and manage what happens when people arrive at an HWRC
