Stirling Council Go-live with our HWRC Booking system

We have yet another go-live to shout about! Here at Pentagull we are very pleased to announce that Stirling Council are the latest to benefit from our industry-leading HWRC booking system.

As part of the system, Stirling chose to incorporate the DVLA look-up integration as an optional extra. The look-up determines the make and colour of the vehicle from the registration plate entered on the customer facing form. This is extremely useful for the site staff as it provides additional information to help identify the cars that arrive on site. Additionally, we also populate the waste types selected on the booking to the site staff dashboard, to notify them of the expected waste types per booking upon arrival.

Furthermore, as part of our HWRC Booking product, Stirling are also reaping the rewards of our reporting features, providing them with key analytical insights. Examples include total number of bookings in a specified time frame, booking per site including the attendance and a count of each waste type brought on site.

If you would like to speak to us about our HWRC Booking system or enquire about another system, please contact us at hello@pentagull.co.uk.

Waste Fridge
When waste rules change, Pentagulls flexible HWRC booking systems make the difference.

The current shortage of specialist treatment capacity for fridges and freezers is creating a difficult situation for councils across the UK. With processing capacity severely constrained, some councils have had to suspend collections, limit the number of cooling appliances residents can bring to HWRCs, or stop accepting them altogether. For residents, the message is simple: the rules have changed. For councils, however, changing the rules is only the beginning. They also need an effective way to communicate those changes to residents and manage what happens when people arrive at an HWRC
