Our HWRC Permit System hugely benefits yet another authority
Here at Pentagull towers, we’ve been just as active lately and have yet another go-live to shout about! Staffordshire County Council have recently gone live with our HWRC Permit system with DVLA and are already reaping the rewards.
Staffordshire County Council contacted us earlier in the year to enquire about a digital permit system for their 14 HWRC sites which would only be eligible for Staffordshire residents, while also being concise and user friendly. After a few months of hard work, that’s exactly what we created! The permit application form requires the resident to include their vehicle registration, type of vehicle but also upload documentation for proof of residency (e.g. driving licence).
This permit system includes a DVLA look-up, meaning the make and colour of the vehicle can be determined from the registration entered on the form. This is extremely useful for the site staff as it provides additional information to help identify the cars that turn up on site.
Staffordshire County Council have also seen a huge benefit from the extensive reports that the permit system offers, such as a report that details the permit usage per site and another that calculates the total visits for each vehicle type, both in a specified time-period.
