As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting our systems, data and services, we have joined the National Cyber Security Centre’s Early Warning service. The service is part of the NCSC’s Active Cyber Defence programme and provides UK organisations with tailored alerts about malicious activity, vulnerabilities and potential threats affecting their public IP addresses and domain names.
Early Warning is designed to help organisations spot signs of cyber-attack before issues escalate. By using information feeds from trusted sources, the service filters large volumes of threat data and notifies registered organisations when relevant activity is detected. This gives teams more time to investigate, respond and reduce risk.
Cyber security remains a shared responsibility across the organisation. Signing up to Early Warning adds another layer of visibility to our existing security controls, helping us to identify low-level incidents, malware indicators and vulnerabilities that could otherwise develop into more serious problems.
This step supports our wider approach to cyber resilience: being proactive, using trusted guidance, and continuously improving how we protect the services and information people rely on every day.
Our technical team will receive alerts from the NCSC whenever relevant activity is detected and will review any notifications in line with our normal cyber security processes. Early Warning is not a replacement for our existing protections, but it will complement them by providing an additional source of timely, trusted intelligence.
