Providing our support for Ukraine

We are horrified by what’s going on in Ukraine, as I'm sure you are.

Particularly cutting are the scenes showing young children and families fleeing a war zone or worse.

At least 3 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they now face an uncertain future.

This morning we made a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Even a small donation could make a huge difference at the moment.

£30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month.
£50 could provide blankets for four families.
£100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.

The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.

Pooling their resources to work as one, they are pivotal in coordinating the UK public's response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with their Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, they raise the alarm to the UK public and set up easy ways for them to donate.

And they have an immediate impact, getting aid to people who need it, fast.
