Here at Pentagull, we’ve had an action-packed first half of the year and as highlighted in the previous news story, have plenty more go-lives to shout about!
North Yorkshire County Council are the latest customer to go-live with our HWRC Permit system. After a few months of hard work, we were able to configure an intuitive and user-friendly permit application form. The form has many permit types to apply for, such as a commercial like vehicle (CLV) permit, a charity permit, and temporary permits, including hires and bereavements. To progress with the application, residents must provide the address where the waste originated, the vehicle registration that will arrive on site and the type of vehicle.
This permit system includes a DVLA look-up, meaning the make and colour of the vehicle can be determined from the registration entered on the form. This gives additional information to the site staff on their custom permit checker dashboard.
The built-in permit checker dashboard is utilised across North Yorkshire County Council’s 20 recycling centres. Site staff simply enter the vehicle registration of the vehicles as they arrive on site and deduct a visit from the corresponding permit record. Site staff can also declare any DIY waste or asbestos as part of the visit record.
North Yorkshire County Council have also seen a huge benefit from the extensive reports that the permit system offers. These include a breakdown of the total HWRC visits per site, the total number of permits per vehicle type, and the vehicle registrations visiting the sites most frequently.
