Great news for Blackpool’s beaches

Some great news for Blackpool’s beaches today after being classified as good or excellent by DEFRA!

Blackpool has worked very hard for a number of years with its partners to keep improving the waters on our coast and this shows the hard work is paying off.

Members of the Pentagull team attend a beach clean arranged via the Blackpool Sea Life Centre every month for about an hour and a half to clear litter from between North and Central Piers.

Projects like these have a positive impact on our local area but are also enjoyable and a great place to take the kids to teach them about looking after the environment.

As a little added incentive, the Sea Life Centre offers free entry for the day to anyone who attends!

If you are interested in taking part all of the details can be found here.
