ESB 22.10 RELEASED
Pentagull is pleased to announce the release of version 22.10 of the ESB platform. This release continues the recent trend of incremental improvements to reliability and usability as well as providing some feature enhancements.
What’s new for 22.10?
The new release includes several major new features. One of these key features is the ability to define the months of the year when setting up scheduled reports, allowing you to configure reports that run quarterly, annually and so on. In addition to this, you can add your own custom date ranges to the list of pre-defined options.
The 22.10 release also includes numerous changes and modifications to the API, Self-Service and the Web. The WorkManagement.Searcher class has a new property named “Town” that can be used to only return results with an address containing the matching town. If the show address fields option is selected on the search page, the fields will now include this town element, similar to street, postcode, company name and so on. A key upgrade to the self-service includes a modification to the password reset wording, as generic wording will now be provided when a user does a password reset regardless of whether a matching account was found. This is to eliminate a username enumeration attack.
What’s new for system configurators?
When editing a number field, you can now specify both the minimum and maximum permitted values. Previously this type of data validation would have required the use of a business rule. It’s also important to ensure regular expressions are valid when saving a form field to prevent errors at runtime.
