ESB 23.10 Visual Changes

The 23.10 ESB update will be impactful in terms of visual changes as both the back office and customer-facing sides of the product are changing.

The customer-facing changes will be due to two main factors.

First, we are moving on to the latest build of Bootstrap, version 5.3. This will improve the speed, security and accessibility of the forms while improving the options and customisation features available to our developers.

The second factor is a conscious decision to adopt styling cues from the .Gov website. This means small and subtle changes to field size and shape, rounding colours and layout.

But that's not all!

The back office view will also be changing.

We will be moving to a full-screen width display with a new navigation menu down the left-hand side of the screen.

This will reduce the number of clicks for users to get to critical areas in the system and significantly increase the screen real estate available to display content on.
