ESB Junior Business Analyst

Due to business growth, Pentagull are looking to recruit a junior business consultant to assist in delivering our cutting-edge IT solutions utilising our own ESB platform. We are ideally looking for candidates with the following competencies:

Project related competencies

Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Quickly understands the business issues and challenges of client's organisation and industry.
  • Aligns client's requirements with the capabilities of the ESB platform to deliver an effective and commercially sustainable solution.
  • Establishes, reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
  • Assists in developing a proposed system design using the ESB platform in accordance with the Agile development methodology.

Technical Recommendation and Testing

  • Assists with testing efforts.
  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

Project Execution

  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
Career path core competencies

  • Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.
  • Delivers informative, well-organised presentations.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Technical Understanding

  • Possesses a basic understanding in the areas of information system design.
  • Understands the concepts of spreadsheets, databases, web applications and the client-server model.
  • Experience of the ESB platform is desirable but not required.

  • Identifies critical issues.
  • Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
  • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets.

Additional Information
  • Location: You will be based at our Blackpool offices on Faraday Way.
  • Salary: £18k-£24k P.A.
  • 37 hours per week
  • Company Pension
  • 32 days paid leave per year, including public holidays
  • Your normal working hours will be from 09:00 to 17:00 on Monday to Friday
  • You may sometimes be required to work outside of these hours if business needs dictate

The company will not be providing relocation or sponsorship packages for this role and therefore candidates will be required to be eligible to both live and work in the UK within a reasonably commutable distance from Blackpool.
