We have just returned from a sunny and very warm visit to Scotland where we were sponsoring the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee (LARAC) event in the beautiful City of Glasgow.
This was a fantastic opportunity to meet some of our existing customers who due to COVID restrictions we were yet to meet in person and also to meet new likeminded individuals from a variety of organisations.
The event was held at the simply stunning Grand Central Hotel which is part of the Glasgow central train station right in the centre of Glasgow and the venue certainly meant that the event had to hit high standards to do the beautiful venue justice.
I can comfortably say that the event did its historic host proud and was a complete success!
The day focussed on key issues regarding the running of both an efficient and effective local authority waste and recycling service as well as what needs to be done on a larger scale to bring real change to the way we treat our waste.
The event was very enlightening, and the speakers were interesting and passionate about what they wanted to get over to the audience.
We did a quick talk on the technology in play currently in HWRC booking system across the country and where we see the technology and use cases moving as we come out of lockdown.
